MicroNet’s RAIDBank4 RAID box is a powerfully compact, 4-disk, high availability storage solution integrating an advanced RISC processor coupled with a 128MB high-speed error correcting cache. RAIDBank4 is hot swappable and is available with up to 8TB of storage; this model is 8TB. The RAIDBank4 is OS independent and comes complete with MicroNet’s 2-Port eSATA PCI-Express host bus adapter* and NTI ShadowTM backup software. It performs multiple RAID Levels 0, 1, 3, 5, 0+1 and JBOD while delivering up to a 300MB/s data transfer rate and excellent throughput even under the heaviest of loads.

RAIDBank4 is perfect for the creative professional and offers the flexibility of both eSATA and USB 2.0 ports. It is housed in an attractive, durable aluminum enclosure that is lightweight and compact.

MAXNAS or RAIDBANK?RAIDBANK is less expensive per terabyte and is connected directly to a host/workstation via its eSATA2 or USB2 ports. Alternatively, MAXNAS (aka MXNAS) can also be directly attached to a workstation or server, but is more versatile when connected to a switch or router where it then appears as a network drive. MAXNAS also features ISCSI through its 2 load-balancing ethernet ports, which means very high data transfer rates of up to 50 to 60 MBPS (= 400 to 480 MbPS). Other storage can be plugged into the 3 USB and 1 eSATA ports on MAXNAS, and this also then appears as network storage. MAXNAS has its own Linux-based operating system and can be accessed remotely through a web browser, even if your server and workstations are down. And MAXNAS can host an unlimited number of local or remote concurrent users.
